Artist Statement

I am planning to take the idea of the “mundane” and create a piece showing how daily activities like laundry, dishes, and tooth brushing can feel overwhelming. Getting stuck in the daily cycle can make someone feel as though they’re being weighed down by the little things we have to do to be functioning humans/adults. I want to show a laundry basket dumping out things like laundry detergent and toothpaste that morph into a literal mountain at the bottom.
